Disclaimer: The GM E98 engine control unit in the Duramax 2.8L vehicles maintains a log of different files flashed into the ECU. Even if the ECU is flashed back to stock, this log will show that a non-factory flash was installed at some point in the past. In some cases GM requires this log to be submitted before warranty work is approved and completed. Please be aware of these considerations before making your purchase.

Great customer service and tune. They called me right up to explain any questions I had and worked with me even though the time zone difference is about 5 hours difference. I won't go as in depth as others but after driving the time for around 6k miles the throttle response is is much better than stock the dead pedal response it used to have is completely eliminated. The gas mileage made a huge jump itself as well. Averaging 26mpg city and here traffic is always tight. I can't really give an accurate highway mpg because it's all hills here. Overall I'm extremely happy with the tune and the customer service of GDE I wouldn't want to drive my truck without the tune

I installed the hot tune and trans tune about 2 weeks ago on my 2018 ZR2 and coupled it with an AFE turbo-back exhaust. After over 2000 miles, I have nothing but good things to say. Ill start with the ECM tune. First off, the difference in power delivery is night and day. Dead pedal is gone! Throttle response now is more like a gas V8, you tap it and it lurches forward. Torque is immediate and strong and instead of falling on its face at 3000rpm it carries good power all the way through 3500rpm. At WOT I used to have to trick the trans into upshifting early by letting up just a bit til it shifted, then roll back on the throttle in order to stay in the power band. On the stock tune the truck had no real acceleration past 40mph so passing a single car on a 2 lane highway was time consuming and almost dangerous. Now I have the passing power equivalent to any late model standard half ton gas pickup. Now on to the trans tune. On the stock tune the transmission loved to rev out the little 4 cylinder like it was a gas engine under part throttle, normal driving. Now it upshifts earlier, shifts are quick but still smooth. I would compare the tuned transmission behavior to something like a 2500 Cummins. It just behaves like you would expect an auto trans diesel to. Stock, thee trans wouldn’t shift to 6th until 59mph and you could slowly back it down to 53mph and cruise. Now it upshifts to 6th at 52mph and can be backed all the way down to 49mph if you wished. It holds torque converter lockup longer as well. As for mileage, stock I averaged 24mpg town and on the interstate with the cruise at 80mph I averaged 21mpg. Now my averages are 29 in town and 24 on the interstate at 80mph. I am very satisfied with this tune and the outstanding customer service. Great thanks to the Green Diesel team.

IN RESPONSE TO THE LAST POST, I HAVE TO DISAGREE WITH YOUR OPINIONS ON THE GUYS AT GDE. I TUNED MY BABY DURAMAX A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AGO, AND FOUND NOT ONLY DID MY POWER INCREAE, MY FUEL MILEAGE WENT UP TO A GOOD SOLID 35MPG EVEN THOUGH I DRIVE THE TRUCK HARDER THAN I DID WHEN IT WAS ON THE STOCK TUNE. TRUCK RUNS SMOOTH, SHIFTS BETTER (HAVE TRANNY TUNE UPDATE) AND HAVE SENT EVERYONE I KNOW WHO HAS ASKED ME ABOUT MY TRUCKS TUNE TO THE GUYS AT GDE. AS FAR AS CUSTOMER SERVICE GOES, THE GUYS HAVE ALWAYS GONE ABOVE AND BEYOND. FROM MY FIRST EXPERIENCES OF THE GUYS STAYING LATE TO HELP ME OUT ON A FRIDAY NIGHT OF A LONG WEEKEND WITH MY INSTALL. THEY HAVE NEVER MADE ME WAIT LONGER THAN A DAY TO RESPOND TO ANY OF MY CONCERNS. FOUND THE GUYS @ GDE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND WITH A COUPLE LITTLE ISSUES THAT DID POP UP, AND FIND EVEN NOW IF THEY HAVE AN UPDATE FOR THEIR PRODUCTS, I GET SENT THOSE UPDATES WITHOUT EVEN ASKING. I CANT SAY ENOUGH GREAT THINGS ABOUT THE GUYS THERE. GLAD I TRUSTED MY TRUCK TO THEM, THEY HAVENT LET ME DOWN ONE BIT. THANKS AGAIN GREEN DIESEL, LOVE MY ZR2 EVEN MORE NOW BECAUSE OF YOU

I bought the tune for my 2016 Chevy Colorado z71 several months ago and I am very happy with my purchase! I gained several MPGs and a lot more power to the wheels. The customer service was fantastic and when I had questions they were more than happy to help as soon as possible! I am going to be adding the off-road option soon!

Bought the transmission and engine tune, I noticed that the engine sounds a bit different on the low end (so did the wife). Really impressed with the throttle response. Fuel economy seems better after about 100kms. I like that it's a set and forget setup. Load the tunes and don't think about it. Really wished I installed the tunes right after I bought the truck. The wife also noticed the exhaust brake seemed to respond better as well. I can't say enough good things about the GDE service, being in Canada they figured out the cheapest shipping and brokerage fees via USPS. The turn around time was less than a day from getting seed number, to getting the tunes. Well done GDE

The tuning is solid and a must have for these little trucks. I had a different reputable tune on my truck. Had some issues with it. Took it off and swapped to GDE's tuning. The truck runs amazing and fuel mileage is incredible. GDE customer service is above and beyond what you could hope for, Extremely helpful and very fast to help with any concerns. So, from someone that has had multiple tunes, this is what you want.
