  • New ECMs from Mopar are blank: there is no software flashed inside and these ECMs are not capable to run the engine/vehicle as-is. They must be configured first.
  • If mailing in an ECM for tuning that is blank or not the original from your vehicle, a $150 setup fee applies to have the necessary steps performed before tuning can be done
  • Blank ECMs or one not from your vehicle returned for the core deposit will be assessed the same $150 setup fee

Ecodiesel customers opting for the exchange program must return the stock ecm from customer vehicle within 21 days in order to receive the full core deposit refund. After that, the core return value is decreased by $50 per week starting from day 22 after the delivery date.

NIGHT and DAY! (2016 Ram 1500 4x4 Lone star) I was ready to get rid of the truck after the dealer destroyed it with the update. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with the new tune. No lag, I can pull out into traffic with confidence, you can feel the amount of throttle input is much less to get the truck moving, and maintain highway speeds, instant kick-downs NO LAG. I wish I had done this the day after Ram screwed my $51K truck up.

Installation took 30 mins max. After the initial regen, took the truck on a drive. THIS IS WHAT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN LIKE FROM THE FACTORY. After doing the AEM from FCA, the truck drove like garbage.... after the tune, it has tons of power and torque. 70 mile test drive with cruise set at 72 returned 30.3 mpg. Couldn't be happier. Well worth the money

This is my 2nd time ordering the GDE hot tune. I just bought a 2016 Limited w/15k miles and air ride, completely stock with the GY SR-As still. I used to have a 2016 Limited without air ride that I had the GDE tune on. With that truck I was seeing an increase of about 5mpg when I initially tuned it, but after putting the lift kit and much larger/heavier tires on it, my MPG went back to pre-tune amounts, even though I was enjoying to lack of turbo lag and healthier engine. On my new Limited, I was averaging about 25-26mpg combined, and now I am seeing 31-32 mpg. No turbo lag, and a significantly better sound from the engine. 0-60 time dropped from approx. 10s stock to 7.8s tuned, maybe 7.5 if I took a little air out of the rear tires and put it into 4WD. I love this tune, and I cant wait to install the transmission tune later today. I will be reviewing that later. I am keeping this truck for about 2 years, until the Gen 3s come down as CPO and I am honestly so excited to see what GDE does with those trucks!

2 weeks since the Hot Tune ECM on my 2018 1500 Laramie crew cab ED - feels like a different truck. No more “dead pedal” when accelerating and my 100 mile round trip commute each day doesn’t have me apprehensive when more power/acceleration is needed. I brag to other ED owners about how much better things are with the hot tune and they say they will soon be converts. I also talk to others at my company, who drive their sedans to save money on gas, about my over 31 MPG and they can’t believe it. Then I show them the pic of 31.6 MPG from my dash… Say they wish they had known this was an option so they could have purchased full sized trucks like they wanted to! Great product that makes a good truck great.

First of all I loved my Truck, til I got greedy and went in for the V08 re-tune for the money. It totally screwed my cold start performance (dead pedal)and mileage (>3 mpg less). But lucky for me it prompted me to invest in GDE hot tune and trans tune. Now my truck is better than ever. It has great throttle response and the miles per gallon (the reason I bought the truck) is already coming back to where it should be (hopefully better than stock). I know it is a lot of money, but if you want to be happy with your truck again, it is WELL WORTH THE MONEY SPENT!!! One satisfied customer here!

I have driven my truck twice now since I installed my tuned ECM. I can't tell you how happy I am to have the performance, and efficiency back in my truck. I currently have 118k on my 2015 Ram crew with 4 wheel drive. At 20k I took my truck in to be serviced. They did the 1st ECM update then, knocking my milage down. Then more updates later doing the same. Eventually they have me from 28mpg down to 22mpg. Over time I almost took my truck in for diagnostics because I felt something was wrong with it. After the settlement update, they might as well ripped my turbo off the engine. Same bad fuel mileage but even worse turbo lag. Unsafe driving pulling into traffic. So unsafe I finally decided to go with this tune. I was worried at first that it didn't make a difference. But after I drive the truck long enough to clear the particulate filter, it changed immediately. My mph jumped up to 27.5. I drove it interstate to work today, 32.5! I love having my power, and fuel mileage back again. It is actually better than new 118k miles ago. So satisfied, I'm thinking about trying the transmission tune to see what they have done for it. Thank again GDE for making it to where I love my truck again!
