Diesel Performance

Green Diesel Engineering, formed in early 2009, was established to fill a void left in the diesel performance market by add-on boxes or roughly-developed programmers that don’t truly take advantage of the performance and economy potential offered by diesel power systems.

Our Philosophy

We focus on utilizing engineering principles when designing engine and transmission calibrations.  Testing and measuring the critical parameters on the powertrain are essential to meeting safety and design limits.  Cylinder pressure measuring equipment is vital to calibrating correctly for optimum results. 

Diesel Calibration

We are a team with numerous years experience working in the diesel calibration field.  We utilize a full spectrum approach to optimize the combustion cycle for burn rates, peak firing pressure and thermal management.  The results are lowest fuel consumption per a given load and minimized emissions.

Our Core Strategy

To determine the overall power-torque curve to meet the performance requirements, and from that point begin optimizing the calibration as a whole  to provide the highest fuel economy (lowest BSFC) and performance.  This involves running multitudes of test cycles on dyno and trade-off curves.  At end of development, the application is tested on EPA emission drive cycles to ensure it is environmental friendly.

About us

Our philosophy

We focus on optimizing the powertrain (engine & trans) efficiency to deliver the highest fuel economy possible through combustion research.  Then the combustion event is modified to minimize soot formation for cleaner engine internals and improved longevity.  Afterwards, the performance and drivability is enhanced within the mechanical limits of powertrain to provide spirited driving when desired.
